It is with heavy heart, teary eyes, and sorrow to announce the passing of TAMA the parakeet today. He succumed to shock from injuries received by accident involving my ferret Spunky. TAMA became part of the family in 2008 and will be sorely missed. He will be creamated and brought home in a beautiful urn to stand beside all my other wonderful pet companions who are immortalized in the same fashion. His daily squaks, chirps, songs, and complaints will also be highly missed. I remember when he would come out of his cage, dive bomb the dogs heads, and fly up into the curtains chirpping away as if to say "HA-HA, didn't see that coming did you!" TAMA also was a very smart, brave bird who loved to climb down the indoor dog pen and bug my ferret JANDER(RIP) who would only ignore him making TAMA all the more determined to pick on him. TAMA was/is my first bird I have ever owned, so this is especially hard to see him die too young over a stupid accident. I pray where ever TAMA is when birds cross the Rainbow Bridge, that he will forgive me for not realizing the cage door wasn't completely shut therefore letting dare-devil Spunky in. I also pray that GOD will forgive me for allowing one of HIS beautiful creatures to pass away to soon. TAMA MAY YOU REST IN PEACE, SING YOUR BEAUTIFUL SONGS, AND FLY WHERE NO PARAKEETS HAVE EVER GONE. MISS YOU my feather child!
