On 16 FEB 2013, PUDGY((the darker looking dog)) died from cardiac arrest due to complications from BLOAT. Ealier in the day he got into a bag of food that wasn't his and ate too much causing sever gas/bloat in his stomach((this is second time/first time he got bloat his stomach also turned)) and was taken to emergency vet where he was given medications and "deflated." His condition was stable so I brought him home, but his condition took a turn for the worse and he was rushed back to emercy care where he went into cardic arrest and passed away. I am taking his death very personal even though I have only had him as part of my family "pack" for a few years. I love and miss him terribly. PUDGY was only 10-11 years old. He is the son of FRECKLES((also in the picture)) and is a Dingo-shephard-chow mix who LOVED to protect my two other small Papillion dogs named FERBIE and GIZMO. PUDGY was a "daddy's" boy all the way and would follow Dave everywhere he went when he was home from work. He had a very good temperment, tolerating numberous dogs coming and going through the house since I did in-home dog boarding; he even put up with several ferrets often crawling on him; my best memory of him is plopping his head on me after I had taken a shower and washed my hair. He seemed to say,"let me help you out drying..you missed a few spots!" May GOD forgive me for not doing more to save him.
On 19 FEB 2013, FRECKLES((the lighter looking dog)) and mother of PUDGY, gave up on life in general and decided to lay down and not get back up. She refused water, food, interaction, and the hard decision was made to have her put to sleep. FRECKLES was a Dingo-shephard mix who lived to be 14-16 years old. Towards the end, she was having a great deal of trouble digesting/processing her food and would become very constipated or total opposite. I believe she understood in her own way that PUDGY was gone and decided to give up on life. I also believe PUDGY had a destiny to help his "mother" cross over the RAINBOW BRIDGE.
Both dogs are gone from this physical world we live in, but in my heart they will live forever as ALL MY PETS DO, in addition to continuing on a different plane of exisitance that is free of pain, old age, sorrow, or anything negative associated in this world. Looking back I am so blessd to have PUDGY and FRECKLES as a part of my life. They taught me things that no words can describe. I LOVE YOU PUDGY!! I LOVE YOU FRECKLES!! YOU ARE BOTH MISSED!! YOU ARE BOTH IN MY HEART FOREVER!! May GOD grant me the day I will meet you and all my pets again across the RAINBOW BRIDGE. ~~~RIP~~~
