I have just completed two very important on hands classes in the month of September. One was a 10 intensive classroom and on-hands training in Hood River, Oregon for Small Animal Acupressure. Unfortuately I did not pass the written final at this time. ((4 hours worth)). However, I will be submitting 16 case studies as part of my requirement. I will be making arrangments to make up the written test soon. Once I pass the written exam((again it is a very intense 4 hour test)) and complete the 16 case studies I will become Certified/Qualified as a Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner. The other one is Small Animal Massage Therapy, where I did my on-hands training on Vashon Island, Washington. Now I have to prepare for the National Exam in order to obtain my license.
Learning these two diciplines has been expensive and hard work, but well worth it. I still have a lot to complete, but I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Learning Traditional Chinese Medician for Acupressure, and Massage for pets has been a challenging, yet wonderful learning experience! I practice on my (4) dogs at home, and on occassion on customers dogs when allowed.
Each dicipline in itself are surpurb for helping animals for numerous reasons, such as, behavior issues, relaxtion, to rehabilitation. Yet, combining these two empower the healing I can provide to a new level. Not only will I enjoy learning for the rest of my life, but I will be impacting animals(pets), and their owners in a new, positive, great way. I can't wait till everything is completed and I add these gifts to my services.
Looking forward to helping, healing, and loving our furry companions out there. Hope to see yours soon.
