Another Thanksgiving has come and gone and another in the future. This year I took care of 18 dogs, 5 cats, my 3 ferrets, and my 2 birds. It was a challenge having (2) mastiffs, (2) great danes, (2) besenji, (2)papillion, (1) mini poodle, (1) rat terrier, (1) mini snauzer, (1) lab, (1) great pyaneese, (1) shuitz-shu, (1) collie mix, (2) dingo-shepard mix, (1) husky in the dog department. Thank GOD, no "arugments" or fights. WHOOT. However, in regards to the (5) cats, the owner called me and said she no longer can care for them and was leaving for Atlanta to live with her sister and I was to turn the cats into the Human Society. How very sad. I did manage to find a home for the large white cat named Jack, but at the time of this posting, no luck with the other (4) yet.
I cooked a 20lb Turkey fo me and the animals. Only (2) cats dared to eat it, but the dogs really enjoyed their extra treat in their regular dinner meal. They will also get some left overs every other day until they leave or there is no more turkey.
I am so thankful for GOD allowing me this opportunity to really enjoy life with HIS creatures. It was an experience of a life time. I have come a long way from not knowing anything about pet services/pet sitting to completeing schooling in both pet massage and pet acupressure, learning how to control dog behavior in various situation, being able to help owners with their pets away from my home, etc. Although I am NOT making a total living at this ....yet....and sometimes I am stressed out about all my financial burdens. But in the end, I am keepint the faith in my LORD GOD above who is always by my side guiding me if I only pay attention and listen close enough. I am also thankful for all the owners who continue to support and believe in me and being a part of their pets lives as "auntie" Tina. AMEN
